What hidden meaning does water pathway holds?

Previous article, we wrote a guide to serve as a quick reference for house owners to prepare before a Feng Shui Audit.

In this article, we will discuss about the good and bad of 10 common water pathway.  A pathway can be in the form of river, man-made canal (clean water), expressway (highway) or bustling road.  In Feng Shui context, road is also viewed as similar to water pathway due to the traffic flow and road outline.

 

1. Horizontal Water Pathway (横水)

Above illustration depicts a water pathway running horizontally behind the house.  In Feng Shui context, begets leaking wealth away without one’s knowing.  In other words, saving money is quite difficult to achieve in this situation.

 

2. Vertical Water Pathway (直流水)

Above illustration depicts a water pathway running along the house.  In Feng Shui context, considered one of the taboo as there is no accumulation of airflow aka Qi which begets no wealth accumulation and also create bad family fortune in term of health and relationship.

Worst case scenario is when house front is directly facing outer concave of the water pathway or road.  This in turn beget the entire family fortune, health and relationships dwindling down to nothing.

Above illustration depicts an arrow-shape pathway directing towards back of the house, it can be from different angles as long as the angle is targeting at the back.  In Feng Shui context, family members who are staying in this house are prone to accidents which likely to be major.

Above illustration depicts a house situated on inner concave of the water pathway which is located in front of the house.  Seen as one of the best and easy to recognise Feng Shui environment.

In Feng Shui context, this indicates great family fortune and wealth opportunities for the family members.  It also translate to successful career prospect or business opportunities.

 

7. Corner Water Pathway (转角水)

Above illustration depicts a house situated on inner bank of the water pathway, it does not have to turn in 90 degree angle.  Another example of good Feng Shui environment known as turning corner water pathway (literally translated from Chinese).

In Feng Shui context, this indicates great fortune and wealth opportunities befall on the family members.

 

8. S-shaped Water Pathway (九曲呈祥)

Above illustration depicts an example of curvy pathway situated in front of a house, number of curves can range from a one to multiple curves and they can be  either in front or behind a house.

In Feng Shui context, this type of pathway design hasten the flow which resulted in accumulation of airflow aka Qi.  Thus, at the receiving end, the family member will in turn received good harmony in relationship and also wealth.

 

9. S-shaped Water Pathway from Left (九曲呈祥 – 龙边 – 俗称青龙过堂)

Above illustration depicts an example of curvy pathway situated in front of a house, number of curves can range from a one to multiple curves and they can be  either in front or behind a house.

To identify image 9 scenario, this concept only applies when there is a water pathway running on left side of the house.

In Feng Shui context, this denotes great career prospect and wealth for the male owner.  It also indicates there is good rapport with his boss and colleagues.

 

10. S-shaped Water Pathway from Right (九曲呈祥 – 虎边 – 俗称白虎过堂)

To identify image 10 scenario, this concept only applies when there is a water pathway running on rightside of the house.

In Feng Shui context, this denotes good career prospect and wealth for the female owner.  It also indicates there is good rapport with her boss and colleagues.
