As seen in picture 3, 2019 flying stars chart are laid on your floor plan. The star numbers will indicate the respective sectors/ directions in your house as auspicious or inauspicious. The number represents each individual star which translates to one of the five elements and colors. These information is then used as guidance for action such as item placement or renovation avoidance.
For classic Feng Shui masters, Feng Shui items will be recommended to be place in these sector(s) based on the stars. Correct placement will activate the sector(s) which will enhance Feng Shui for the owner. Incorrect placement will result in negative outcome.
For modern masters not into Feng Shui items, would normally advise against doing renovation/ changes in inauspicious sectors. For auspicious sector, would advise studying or working in that area by shifting furniture such as work desk. In addition, they would focus on the door facing of each rooms.
Stars & Their Meaning
Each star is ranked by their importance in year 2019. 3 Stars is considered most important and 1 star is considered as least important. Ranking is based on combination effect of the star and their respective sector.
Star Number 8 (Center)
Prosperity Star (八白左辅星)
Prosperity Star, an auspicious star, is located at center of the house where your red X is. This star is the most auspicious of all and govern over wealth for 2019. It is associated with general happiness, fame and wealth, with reaping the fruits of your labour.
Based on five elements (五行), the star belongs to earth element. Center location falls under earth element too. As such, it is a good combination.

Star Number 1 (West)
Favorable Star (一白贪狼星)
Favorable Star, an auspicious star, is located on west of the house. This star govern mainly career, focusing on career, reputation and relationship.
Based on five elements (五行), the star belongs to water element and work in harmony with metal element of the West sector.
Star Number 9 (Northwest)
Multiplicative Star (九紫右弼星 )
Multiplicative Star, an auspicious star, is found at Northwest of the house. It signifies good news, happy events and a career promotion. It is also a good sector to initiate new professional path.
Based on five elements (五行), the star belongs to fire element which is in conflict with metal element of Northwest sector.
Star Number 6 (East)
Celestial Star (六白武曲星)
Celestial Star, an auspicious star, is found at East of the house. It governs promotion in career, marriage and wealth-related stuff.
Based on five elements (五行), the stars belong to metal element which is in conflict with wood element of the East sector.
Star Number 5 (Southwest)
Wicked Star (五黄廉贞星)
Wicked Star, an inauspicious star, is found at Southwest of the house. It governs disaster and misfortune. Consider as one of the most important sector in 2019. Avoid any renovation and leave this sector dormant if situation allows.
Based on five elements (五行), the stars belong to earth element which is in harmony with earth element of the Southwest sector. This is considered bad as this is an inauspicious star faring well in its sector.
Star Number 2 (Northeast)
Illness Star (二黑星巨门星)
Illness Star, an inauspicious star, is found at Northeast of the house. It governs health issues such as sickness and stress, difficulty in conceiving. Again, avoid any renovation and leave this sector dormant if situation allows.
Based on five elements (五行), the star belong to earth element which is in harmony with metal element of the Northeast sector. This is considered bad as this is an inauspicious star faring well in its sector.
Star Number 7 (Southeast)
Robbery Star (七赤破军星)
Robbery Star, an inauspicious star, is found at Southeast of the house. It signify impulsive actions & emotions which resulted in disputes, violence and lawsuits. Again, avoid any renovation and leave this sector dormant if situation allows.
Based on five elements (五行), the star belong to metal element which is in conflict with wood element of the Southeast sector.
Star Number 3 (South)
Quarrelsome Star (三碧禄存星)
Quarrelsome Star, an inauspicious star, is found at South of the house. It governs issues such as gossips, rumors, lawsuits and health-related matters. sickness and stress, difficulty in conceiving.
Based on five elements (五行), the star belong to wood element which is in harmony with fire element of the South sector. This is considered bad as this is an inauspicious star faring well in its sector.
Star Number 4 (North)
Academic Star (四绿文曲星)
Academic Star, an auspicious star, is found at North of the house. It governs educational activity, art, literature, academic-related matters and also career.
Based on five elements (五行), the star belong to wood element which is in harmony with water element of the North sector.
To Activate or Not?
After knowing the above, what’s next ?
As mentioned, classic Feng Shui master will use Feng Shui items, consecration or not, to activate and enhance the star in that sector to the house owner advantage.
For modern Feng Shui master, they will mostly advise against renovation works or shifting of furniture to fully utilize the star effect in that sector.
We leave this choice to you as this is more of a personal preference. We will briefly touch on each of the star to utilize them in both modern and classic context in part 3.
